Safety Day

Join Calistoga Recreation and local safety partners for a fun, educational event for all ages. Enjoy interactive activities focused on fire, bike, and water safety. Bring your bike for the obstacle course and a police escorted ride through town. Free hot dogs, prizes, and a bike raffle included.

Housing Advisory Committee

The primary objective of the Committee is to advise on and support items outlined in the City’s Housing Element, as mandated by the California Department of Housing & Community Development. Additionally, the Committee focuses on providing informed advice and recommendations for the effective implementation of policies and programs that facilitate the expansion of balanced housing opportunities.

Potential Public Safety Power Shutoff Weather

PG&E issued an early warning for a possible Public Safety Power Shutoff from May 17–19 due to forecasted strong winds and low humidity increasing wildfire risk. Elevated risk areas include parts of several Northern California counties, with final outage details expected about two days in advance.

New Online Utility Billing Portal!

Customers will begin receiving their utility bills via regular mail after May 7, 2026. Due to Utility Bills mailing out later than usual, the City of Calistoga will not be charging late fees for the month of May 2026. Calistoga Fire Department to Conduct Pile Burning on Mt. Washington

The Calistoga Fire Department will conduct intermittent pile burns on Mt. Washington over the next several months to reduce hazardous vegetation and lower wildfire risk. Residents may see smoke during operations, which will occur only under safe weather and air quality conditions
