Free Pool Admission for Calistoga Residents

Pool admission is free for Calistoga residents and those living within the Calistoga Joint Unified School District (CJUSD) boundaries. To enjoy free access, all residents must register for or renew their pool season pass.

Important notes:

  • Season passes are required for adults (18+) and for youth ages 11–17 who wish to visit the pool without a parent or guardian.
  • Proof of residency is required to obtain or renew a pass. Acceptable documentation includes a utility bill, CJUSD school enrollment verification, or other proof of local residence.
  • Your season pass provides access to recreational swim, lap swim, and water aerobics.
  • Youth swim lessons are free for Calistoga residents but require separate registration.
  • Special events at the pool may include an admission fee.
  • Standard pool admission fees apply to non-residents.

How to Register for a Pool Season Pass

After creating your online account, you’ll be able to register for a pool season pass.

Register Now

To register yourself:

  1. Hover over the “Online Booking” tab.
  2. Click “Passes” from the drop-down menu.
  3. Check the box that applies to you.
  4. Click “Buy Now” on the far left of that line.
  5. Click “Place My Order.”

To register a family member:

Note: Passes are only required for adults and for children ages 11–17 who plan to visit the pool without an adult.

  1. Go to “My Info.”
  2. Click “Add Family Member.”
  3. Once added, the family member will appear under your “My Info” section.
  4. Click on their name.
  5. Click “Buy Membership.”
  6. Follow the same steps as above to complete their registration.

Swim Lessons at the Calistoga Community Pool

Learn how to swim in a fun, engaging, and supportive environment. The Calistoga Community Pool offers swim lessons for all ages and abilities, using both of our pools. Classes are listed in order of progression levels, with dates and times available in the Swim Lesson Schedule.

Class Format

Each class runs for 25 minutes, followed by a 5-minute transition period for instructors.

Cost

  • Child swim lessons: Free for Calistoga residents / $50 for non-residents
  • Adult swim lessons: Free for Calistoga residents / $60 for non-residents

Registration Dates

Morning and afternoon lessons are held Monday–Thursday in two-week sessions.

 Lifeguard Training (15+ YRS)

The City of Calistoga is hiring lifeguards! Come spend a week learning safety skills and water rescues with your friends! No experience necessary, flexible work schedules, and training provided! Must be at least 15 years of age and have some swimming abilities. to pass tryouts for the lifeguard training course, participants must be able to swim 300 yards (12 lengths), retrieve a 10lb brick off the bottom of the pool, and tread for 2 minutes. Pre-registration is required.
