The Calistoga City Council has waived fees for public recreation programs that benefit Calistoga residents.

Free programs currently include:

• Adult fitness classes

• Adult education opportunities

• Youth sports

• Summer camps

• Aquatics programs

• Community events

A request for a refund due to withdrawal from a program must be made to the recreation office 48 hours prior to the start of the first class. If a program is cancelled by Calistoga Parks & Recreation, a full refund will be issued. Any cancellations after 48 hours will result in a $20 participation fee to be charged to my account for Calistoga Residents. Non-Residents who cancel after this time frame will receive a 50% refund. To make any registration changes, participants must contact Calistoga Recreation by calling (707)-942-2838 and speaking with an employee, leaving a voicemail, or emailing (recreation@calistogaca.gov).

Facility Guidelines and Rules

• Children 5 and under must have an adult within arm’s reach, and in the water with them at all times.
• Children 10 and under must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible person, age 16 or older, at all times.
• Children ages 11-17 years may enter the facility without an adult with a signed registration form or season pass.
• No running on pool deck.
• No wrestling, rough-housing, hanging on to another person’s back, or horseplay at any time.
• No pushing, dunking, or holding down another person in the water.
• Diving is only allowed in 9’ of water or deeper.
• Diving board is only used when authorized by a lifeguard.
• Children may only use lifeguard approved pool toys and balls. No water balloons allowed.
• Swimsuits and swim appropriate attire only. No street clothes, cut-offs, or loose fitting T-shirts.
• Only Coast Guard approved life jackets are permitted.
• Children who are not 100% potty trained must wear a swim diaper. Remind all children to use the bathroom before and during use of the pool. Specific shut-down procedures for pool contamination are required by Napa County Environmental Health Incident Protocol.
• Absolutely no alcohol, smoking, or glass containers are allowed in the facility.
• A child may be required to complete the deep-water test (swimming the width of either pool without stopping or touching the bottom) before jumping off the diving board.
• Catching a child off the diving board is not allowed.
• Admission is charged to all visitors during open pool times regardless of swimming or observing. Admission is not required for swim lesson observers.

All rules regarding patron safety are at the lifeguard’s discretion. Lifeguards may ask patrons to stop any behavior they deem unsafe at any time.
